Safeguarding doctor training and patient care

This week I had a PMQ ( Prime Minister's Question) about the effect of the European Working Time Directive on the NHS. It may sound a bit techie, but it's absolutely crucial.

Fighting to serve you for another five years

2020 - This is all out of date now but I thought I'd keep it as a reminder of how time rushes on! This was written in the throes of the General Election 2015 - of course we now know how that turned out, but at the time it all felt very uncertain... little did I know how much more uncertain everything was to become!

It was an enormous honour to be elected to represent my home as the local MP in 2010. Now, as the General Election for 2015 is called, I am once again a candidate - fighting to secure my mandate to serve you for another five years.

I live in Westbury and have lived in Bristol since I was 2. I went to school here, and I represented The City of Bristol in national swimming competitions when I was at school, so working for Bristol really is working for my home town.

Since this blog started, Facebook and Twitter pretty much came along and ate it.
