The unofficial blog of the MP for Bristol North West
(Avonmouth, Kingsweston, Henbury, Stoke Bishop, Westbury-on-Trym, Henleaze, Horfield, Southmead, Lockleaze )
It is an enormous honour to have been elected to represent my home as the local MP.
I live in Westbury and have lived in Bristol for over 27 years. I went to school here, and I represented The City of Bristol in national swimming competitions when I was at school, so working for Bristol really is working for my home town.
This blog carries on from my blog as a candidate - and is really just a diary of the kind of things I'm getting up to. For more official stuff, you're best to look on my official website: www.charlotteleslie.com but this is a more informal look at what I'm doing.
And if it doesn't get updated for weeks at a time - well, you know it means I've just been EXTRA busy!
I discovered that First Bus had charged Avon and Somerset Police a staggering £125,000 for CCTV footage to investigate Andrew Ibrahim on charges relating to terrorism. I have written to Justin Davies, Director of First Bus, asking for an explanation. I will keep you posted.
BRISTOLS BIGGEST POST OFFICE PROTEST HITS THE PRESS

Running for the Jessie May Trust!
Thank you to all those who sponsored me on the Bristol Half Marathon for St. Peter's Hospice. I raised over £1000, but there's still the opportunity to give!
